Paddy Lowe has left his position at Mercedes GP to take up a new role at Williams Racing, it has been confirmed.
Lowe, who’s been with with Mercedes for the past few seasons, started out AT Williams early in his F1 career.
It’s thought his move will pave the way for Valteri Bottas to move from Williams to a race seat at Mercedes, as the Williams team seemed unwilling to relinquish him from his current contract.
If such a move were to happen, Bottas would partner Lewis Hamilton, after Nico Rosberg announced his retirement from the sport just a few days after clinching the F1 Driver’s Title at the Abu Dhabi Grand prix last season.
